There are lots of fun facts about orca whales. Did you know that?

Orca and killer whale are two names for the same thing.
The killer whale is the largest species of the dolphin family. The largest recorded killer whale measured 32 ft (9.8 m) and weighed 22,000 lbs (10,000 kg).
Orcas are easily identified by their black and white color. They have a black back, flippers and fin. Orcas have a white belly and white eyespot.
Killer whales prefer the cold waters of the world but they are found in all oceans and seas.
Orcas are often called the wolves of the sea because they hunt in groups like packs of wolves.
Not all killers whales feast on marine mammals such as sea lions, seals and whales some eat only fish.
Orca whales sit at the top of their food chain because there have no predators.
Killer whales live and hunt in groups called pods from 5 to 30 members in size.
Like other dolphins, killer whales make a variety of sounds. They click, moan, grunt, squeak and whistle.
