Battle of Spioenkop, Ladysmith
The Battle of Spioenkop also known as the Battle of Spionkop was one of the bloodiest battles of the second Anglo-Boer War. Fought over two days in January of 1900, the Battle of Spioenkop was the most futile of the four battles waged to liberate Ladysmith from the Boer siege. Take the self-guided trail and view trenches, graves and monuments.
