Tickets to a Boca Juniors match may not be the cheapest attraction in Buenos Aires yet a day on the field is likely the most thrilling. Especially if you're traveling with a futbol fanatic. Get tickets to a soccer match and experience one of Argentina's greatest passions. In town when the team is out? Take a guided tour of La Bombonera and ogle at the stadium without its 57,395 fans.
Diego Maradona
Diego Maradona, referred to often as simply Maradona, is considered by many to be the greatest footballer that ever lived. Born in Buenos Aires in 1960, Maradona played for many clubs over the course of his 20-year career including Argentinos Juniors, Boca Juniors, Barcelona and Napoli. He played in 4 World Cup tournaments and was captain of the Argentine national football team in 1986 and 1990. Maradona was a strategist, team player and skilled dribbler. And while Maradona now manages Argentina's national team, he remains a controversial sports figure. He was sidelined for drug use on several occasions. What's more, Maradona's gruff manner put him at odds, repeatedly, with the press as well as his clubs.
