Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, Ballintoy
The Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge is a great Northern Ireland family attraction. Erected by salmon fishermen, the bridge spans a chasm 30m-deep and 20m-wide. And for kids bold enough to overcome visions of Shrek’s burning bridge, the crossing to Rocky Island is great fun. The daring are rewarded with spectacular views and a chance to spot nesting birds.
