St. Lucia Crocodile Centre is a must see for families. Not only is this research cum wildlife center a great place to learn about the oldest living reptile, it provides insight to the Lake St. Lucia ecosystem. Learn about Nile, slender-snouted (also called sharp-nosed and long-snouted) and dwarf crocodiles. View hatchlings and adults and see crocs of all sizes. Tour the exhibits on the local ecosystem and discover the importance of each environment - dune forest, grassland, beach, lake and ocean. And if time permits, see the snake display and observe bird life in the Cycad Garden.
Getting There

The crocodile center is located near the mouth of the St. Lucia Estuary and is situated just 2km (3 miles) north of St. Lucia village. To reach the center take the road to Cape Vidal.
