Cruachan Power Station is great place to take budding engineers. Learn about hydroelectric power as well as the construction and operation of this underground power station. Tour the massive cavern known as hollow mountain and watch mighty turbines whirl.

Some tours are educational, some are just plain fun. A tour of Cruachan Power Station is a bit of both. It gives children first hand knowledge about electricity. (They learn how it's made and find out about something they use each day.) The short trip inside the mountain makes this educational attraction adventurous. Of note, the guides are very good at answering questions.
