At 7,500 feet (2286 meters), Desert View is the highest point on the South Rim. Enjoy the Native American art exhibit. Climb the 70-foot (21m) Desert View Watchtower. Take in the view of the Grand Canyon and identify local landmarks visible from here. The Painted Desert is but one! And if the kids are up for one last hurrah, travel west 3 miles (5 km) to Lipan Point for the best views of the Colorado River from the South Rim.
