Dunluce Castle, Portrush
Dunluce Castle perched precariously on the cliffs to the west of Giants Causeway is simply spectacular. Considered the most romantic and picturesque of the Irish castles, Dunluce also enjoys a colorful history. Occupied by the MacQuillan family as early as 1513, the castle changed hands numerous times in the following centuries. It was the stronghold of the MacDonnells, besieged by the British and returned to the MacDonnells until abandoned with the castle's kitchen fell into the sea.
