Just 19 Km (12 miles) north of Puerto Madryn, El Doradillo beach is the best place in Patagonia to observe southern right whales from shore. Whales frequent these waters from June to October and can be seen and heard from the beach and nearby cliffs. And if shore-based whale watching is not enough adventure for the kids, plot your route to the beach on foot or by bike and once there, kayak, bird watch or windsurf (summer only).
