Albright Visitor Center and Museum, part of the Fort Yellowstone complex, is more than an information point. In addition to the requisite maps and brochures, the center boasts history and wildlife exhibits as well as two art displays and video showings. Getting There
Albright Visitor Center and Museum is located in Mammoth Hot Springs. Mammoth Hot Springs is 5 miles (8 km) south of Gardner, MT, 49 miles (79 km) northeast of the West Yellowstone, MT and 47 miles (76 km) west of Yellowstone's Northeast Entrance.
Hours & Times
The center is open daily 8:00 - 19:00 mid-May through September and daily 9:00 - 17:00 October through mid-May. The backcountry office operates a desk inside the visitor center in summer months. Ranger programs vary seasonally.
Things to Keep in Mind
Junior ranger booklets are available at the visitor center. Ranger Adventure Hikes can be booked at the information desk. The center has a bookshop.
