Friday Mosque, Shela
The Friday Mosque, built in 1829, may be the only cultural attraction in Shela (also spelled Shella) but it is interesting nonetheless. The Mosque's rocket-shaped minaret is sure to make the kids pause and take a photo or two. Don't forget to climb to the top; the view is enchanting.

Getting There
In one way or another all of the sandy lanes in Shela lead to the Friday Mosque which is situated just beyond the Peponi Hotel in route to the beach.
Things to Keep in Mind
The Mosque is open to those suitably dressed. Take off your shoes before entering.
