The Grand Canyon Railway runs a scenic train trip to the South Rim and a winter journey to the North Pole aboard the Polar Express. Both train tours are pulled by vintage locomotives. Both have onboard entertainment. The train trip to the Grand Canyon affords views of Kaibab National Forest but not of the South Rim. It offers parents an opportunity to relax and provides kids with a break from the car. But it is by no means a high-flying Western adventure. Santa is the centerpiece on the Polar Express. This train tour is big hit with tykes and tots.
