The Exotic Gardens or Jardin Exotique in Monaco - Monte Carlo boasts thousands of species of plants and is renowned for its cacti. Yet Monaco’s Exotic Gardens is likely to be of interest to more than just a budding botanist or two. The Observatory Cave, included in the entrance fee, offers adults and kids a chance to learn more about concretions from stalactites to spaghetti-like helictites. Visit the Anthropology Museum, also located within the gardens, and gain regional archaeological insight.
 
Getting There
 
The Exotic Gardens are located on Boulevard du Jardin-Exotique on the extreme eastern edge of Monaco. Take the number 2 bus or trek roughly 40 minutes uphill.

The gardens are open daily 9:00 - 19:00 from 15 May to 15 September and 9:00 - dusk from 16 September to 14 May. The gardens are closed on November 19 and December 25.
