La Boca, Argentina

La Boca is the most colorful barrio in Buenos Aires. And the color extends beyond the brightly painted tin-roof houses built by Italian immigrants. Take a stroll down the short yet vibrant Caminito, a pedestrian walkway cum outdoor museum and craft fair. Observe artists paint, and, on weekends, take in a free tango show. Walk a few blocks to the Boca Juniors Stadium and if your trip coincides with a soccer match take in the “color” both in and outside the stadium.
