Larvotto Beach or Plage du Larvotto may be manmade but it is one of the best strips of sand in the world. What's more Larvotto Beach is a public. It's the only free stretch of seashore in Monaco. So why bring the kids? The beach is clean, the snorkeling is enjoyable and unless the red flag's flying, it's safe to swim. Restaurants, bars and ice-cream stands are conveniently located at the back of the beach. But that's not all. Kid-friendly activities abound. A volleyball court, kids' trampoline and playground are located on the east end. Water sports, and a crèche, are available on the beach's western shore. And while not reserved for kids doing tricks, the upper level is teeming with tweens on rollerblades, skateboards and bikes.
