London Zoo may have once risked extinction yet it's a mistake to snub this 180-year-old institution. Getting There

London Zoo is located on the north end of Regent's Park and is somewhat difficult to reach. The nearest underground stations are Camden Town and Regent's Park, a 15-minute walk and 20-minute hike respectively. Buses 274 and C2 stop near the London Zoo. London Waterbus operates a narrow boat service on Regent's canal between Little Venice or Camden Town and London Zoo. The zoo is outside the congestion charging zone. The nearest car park is just opposite the main entrance. A bike shed and cycle docking station are found in the car park.

Hours & Times

The zoo is open daily. Closed December 25. Hours are seasonal. The last entrance is 60 minutes before the close. Some animal houses close 90 minutes early.

Admission & Fees

Admission is charged. Rates are seasonal. A reduced rate is available for children aged 3 - 15. Children under 3 are free of charge. A family rate, offering a 10% savings, is available for online bookings only. Family Travel Tips: The default rate for online bookings is the full ticket price, which includes a donation.
