Mission Rocks, St. Lucia Park
The Mission Rocks, on the road to Cape Vidal, is a great place to stop and let the little ones stretch their legs. The rocky shores are an excellent place to explore marine life at low tide. And the dunes provide excellent views of Lake St. Lucia and the coast. Yet the main reason for traveling to Mission Rocks is to trek. Whether you hit the Mkizi Trail, three 1-day loops between 10 and 18 km in length, or the strenuous 5-day, 65 km Emoyeni Trail be sure the adventure is commensurate with the age and skill level of the kids. The shorter guided hike to Mfazana Pans has a minimum age limit of 12.
