The Northwoods Children's Museum is a great rainy day alternative for families visiting Eagle River and the Wisconsin Northwoods at any time of the year. Kids will enjoy hands-on exhibits and taking part in one of the many workshops or themed events organized at various times throughout the year.

The museum is open Monday through Saturday 10:00-17:00 and Sunday 12:00-17:00 in summer (late May to early September) and Tuesday through Friday, 10:00-15:00, Saturday 10:00-17:00 and Sunday 12:00-17:00 in spring, fall and winter (early Septeber to late May). The Museum is closed January 1, Easter, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and December 24, 25, 26 and 31.
