Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires
This stylish neighborhood of red brick docks, warehouses and converted canals, is home to parks, restaurants, and two of the city’s most fashionable hotels, the Hilton Buenos Aires and Faena Hotel & Universe. A historic tour of Puerto Madero begins with the floating museums, Fragata Sarmiento and Uruguay Corvette. Visit the Museo Hotel de Inmigrantes, the Ellis Island of Argentina, where immigrants first set shore. Or step into the future as you traverse the Puente de la Mujer the pedestrian drawbridge located at pier 3. Designed by Santiago Calatrava, this unique interpretation of tango dancers cost USD 6 million to build and transport to Argentina. And if you are in search of different view, take a boat tour and explore the city's sights from the Rio de la Plata.
