Puerto Pirámides

Puerto Pirámides, the only village in Peninsula Valdes, is the departure point for whale watching tours and scuba diving trips as well as other fun family excursions. Trek or travel 4 km (2.5 miles) to Loberia Piramides and watch sea lions frolic. Hike 12 km (7.5 miles) to Punta Pardelas, a snorkeler and diver's paradise. Kayak in the cold waters of the Gulfo Nuevo. Take a boat trip and journey to sea in search of Right Whales and Orcas. And in addition to observing sea life, take time to hunt for shells or simply relax on the golden sand shore.
Getting There

Puerto Piramides, just off the N2 on the Gulfo Nuevo side of the Istmo Ameghino, is 32 km (20 miles) from the entrance to the reserve. Organized tours depart daily from Puerto Madryn.
Things to Keep in Mind
