Tomb of Moulay Ali Sharif, Rissani
Moulay Ali Sharif was the first ruler of the Moroccan Alawites (also spelled Alaouite), who, at the request of the Berbers, settled in the region in the 13th century. Unfortunately, non-Muslims are only able to enjoy the mausoleum’s impressive entrance complete with a cupola and green tiled roof, which is not to be confused with a bab or city gate.
