The Vukani Museum cum craft shop boasts an outstanding collection of Zulu arts and crafts, including the largest collection of Zulu baskets in the world. The continuously expanding collection includes basketry, pottery, carvings, tapestries, beadwork, sculpture and woodcuts. Rueben Ndwandwe, Nesta Nala, and the Nala Family, Allina Ndebele and members of the Magwaza family are among the museum's featured artists.

The museum is located next to the Zululand Historical Museum in the Fort Nongqayi Heritage Village on Nongqayi Road.
