White Park Bay, Ballintoy
At White Park Bay the kids can run free. Sheltered by great sand dunes, White Park is a great place to fly a kite and collect shells. Follow the trail from the car park and run and play on the beach. Walk west along the shore to Portbraddon an ancient salmon fishing station and home to the cow byre that is mistakenly touted by many as the smallest church in the world.

Getting there
White Park Bay is situated just off the B146 road, 6.5 miles from Bushmills and a 10-minute drive from Giant's Causeway. Families in search of adventure can hike or bike to this secluded stretch of sand. The coastal path, Ordnance Survey grid reference D062450, from Giant's Causeway to the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge passes here. National Route 93 is the optimal course for bikers. From Ballintoy, follow the footpath round the headland and at low spring tide walk along the beach.
Things to keep in mind
Rip tides make swimming dangerous.
