The Yavapai Observation Station at Yavapai Point may be just one mile from Mather Point but it boasts less than one quarter of the crowds and the views are no less spectacular. The recently inaugurated exhibit includes interpretive panels and displays offering insight to the geological history of the Grand Canyon as well as the Native American cultures that make their home in the area.
