Our 3-night stay at the New Lamu Palace Hotel was mediocre in every way. Our room was small and with an extra bed difficult it was tricky to move about. The only window in the room was a tiny square above the sink. The bathroom, the size of a handkerchief, seemed to have been excluded from the hotel\'s recent renovation. And while the staff was friendly, they were flat. The indoor lounge and common areas are tastefully decorated with colonial style furniture, but a sit on the couches in the outdoor terrace leave you feeling dirty not dusty.
