After talking with a rep from Moab Adventure Center we signed up for two area adventures, a full day rafting trip and a sunset hummer safari. Both were exceptional. The full-day rafting trip from Fish Towers to takeout beach may be slow compared to the action in Cataract and Westwater canyons but it is ideal for beginners. The excellent guides do more than teach the kids to paddle they go out of their way to make the trip fun. If your children enjoy the water a full-day on the Colorado River is the way to go. The 2-hour hummer safari is a great way to end a day in Moab. Not only is the out and back trail in the Sand Flats Recreation Area, known as Hell's Revenge, lots of fun, the red rock fins found just east of Moab afford a unique panorama. If your kids are into rocking and rolling they will want to sit in the way back above the rear wheels.
