Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming
Grand Teton National Park may be significantly smaller than its northerly neighbor yet it merits a visit even if only for a day. Watch waterfowl on Jackson Lake. Bird at Willow Flats. Spot moose at Oxbow Bend. View bison on glacial terraces. Look for pronghorn in sagebrush flats. Float the Snake River in an inflatable raft. Take a boat ride on Jenny Lake. Make a river crossing on a wooden ferry. Hike mountain trails. Climb canyon walls. Come face to face with glaciers. Tour an historic settlement. Explore a Native American exhibit. Take part in a ranger-guided program. Take in the park's Alpin... Read Moree Scenery. This U.S. National Park is a great place to discover nature as well as the history of the American West.
Grand Teton NP reviews
More than Alpine scenery

We spent a day in the Tetons on a detour south from Yellowstone and it was barely enough time to hit the highlights. If we were to do it over again we would spend at least one night. And we would visit the Tetons before heading to Yellowstone; we were a bit jaded after 5 days in the bigger park. My 9-year-old daughter's favorites: wildlife watching at Oxbow Bend, boat ride on Jenny Lake, and ferry ride at Menor's Ferry.
