Inveraray, Scotland
Inveraray with its straight wide streets and Georgian homes is one of the earliest and best-preserved planned towns in Scotland and, thanks to its proximity to Glasgow, it is a great destination for a family vacation or a weekend holiday break with kids. Enjoy hill walking or relax on the shores of Loch Fyne. Visit the Inveraray Castle and one or more of the town's attractions or stay and night or two and get under the skin of this sleepy town rebuilt by the 3rd Duke of Argyll between 1734 and 1822.
