Upington based Kalahari Safaris knows Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park like no other. And they excel at sharing their knowledge, an important point when traveling with kids. Kalahari Safaris offers two types of African safaris: lodge/chalet and tented camps. There is no minimum age but given the remote location and amount of time spent sitting these trips are likely to prove tough going for kids under 8. Of note, all groups are small; maximum 2- 5 people per vehicle. The facilities at Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park are modest. Not all tented camps are fenced. All safaris and tours depart from Upington in South Africa's Northern Cape Province.
