When to Travel
The best time of the year to visit western Scotland is from April to June. The peak season, July and August, is crowded and the weather fickle. It is as likely to be hot and sunny as it is cold and wet.
Things to Keep in Mind
In Scotland, it's possible to experience more than one season in a single afternoon. Pack to dress in layers. Bring wet weather gear.
