Getting there
Trelew is located 67 km (42 miles) south of Puerto Madryn. Aerolineas Argentinas and LADE fly to Trelew from Buenos Aires and tourist destinations in Patagonia. Many bus tours also stop in Trelew.
Getting around
Given the distances involved it is advisable to hire a car or take part in a bus tour. Car rental companies are located in the Trelew airport and Puerto Madryn.
When to travel
Spring and summer (September - February) are the best time to visit.
