Watamu may lack the charm of Lamu, bustle of Mombasa and tourist trappings of Diani and Malindi yet this once fishing village is well worth a visit. While most hotels cater to European package tourists on all-inclusive holidays, there are a few good choices for independent families and budget travelers.
