Don't book a stay at Che Shale expecting playmates for children. - My 7-year-old daughter was the only guest below the age of 25 during our 4-night stay. - But do book anyway. The staff is child-friendly. The beach offers lots to keep kids busy. My daughter loved the thatched huts, open-air shower, and tea on the patio. They were all part of the adventure. The negatives? The atmosphere is somewhat clubby. We had a quibble over the bill. They tried to charge us a 5% credit card fee. The excuse, most guests pay cash. I was glad to have packed our email correspondence, whi ch quoted the rate but didn't mention a credit card fee nor state cash only.
