Matemo Island Resort is set in a stunning location yet it falls short of its luxury price tag. It's set in a tropical paradise with white sand beaches, azure waters and palm-fringed coves. With just 24 chalets, the ambiance is intimate. The wood and thatch bungalows are just steps from the beach. The food is good. The service is hit or miss. Matemo Island Resort doesn't have a spa. Drinks aren't included in this all-inclusive. The excursions are pricey. It's looking a bit tired of late. Family Travel Tips: The chalets have air conditioning, TV and mini-bar. Water socks are recommended at all times and fundamental at low tide. The clientele is predominately couples.
