Our 3-night stay at the New Lamu Palace Hotel was just ok. Our room was small and, with an extra bed, had near no space. The room had one tiny window. The handkerchief sized bathroom had old, leaky pipes. The restaurant caters to the hotel's predominately Italian clientele; it serves pasta not lobster. And while the staff was friendly, they were flat. Having said that, the New Lamu Palace Hotel is ideally located and tastefully decorated. It sits on the quay and boasts colonial beds.
