It's hard to knock Yangshuo Village Inn. Both the inn and farmhouse are smartly decorated. The en suite rooms are spacious and clean. The roof terrace is a great place to hang. The courtyard has a ping pong table, a real plus for kids. The staff is helpful and friendly and all speak English. Its small size - just 7 guest rooms - ensures a cozy atmosphere. It's reasonably priced. It's both close to the action and far from the throngs; Yangshuo Village Inn is situated in the small village of Li Cun and is just a 15 minute drive from bustling Yangshuo. The one drawback? It's form over function, i.e. there is no place for toiletries in the bathroom and the bathroom floor is often soaked after a shower. Family Travel Tips: The hotel has two family rooms. Some promotions include breakfast and bike rentals, be sure to enquire. Free WiFi. Airport transfers are charged extra. The hotel restaurant serves predominately Italian food; the few Chinese dishes on the menu are prepared for a Western palette. There's no nightlife in the village; it's all quiet (and dark) at sundown. The free shuttle service has a limited timetable. This is not a hotel for boisterous children per the sign in each room inviting guests to speak quietly.
