Founded by Edie Crawford in 1987, this small, family business has 30 years of Grand Canyon river rafting experience. One rafting trip covers the entire canyon from Lee's Ferry to Diamond Creek and takes 15 days. And while none of the rafting trips are geared to families, all are open to spirited teens (12+) ready for a challenge. But before you sign-up take note of the following: 1) Canyon Explorations/Expeditions trips aren't for the uninitiated; 2) preconditioning is a recommended for all participants; 3) hiking is a major component of all trips; and 4) Lower Canyon trips are hike-in, Upper Canyon trips are hike-out. Family Travel Tip: All trips begin and end in Flagstaff.
