Arizona River Runners has introduced novice and experienced rafters to the spectacular nature of the Grand Canyon for 40 years. And while this outfitter doesn't run dedicated family rafting trips, many parents and children participate each season - and enjoy their trip. Children aged 8 and up are welcome on 3, 6, 7 and 8-day motor trips. Kids must be at least 12 years of age to take part in all oar-powered rafting trips. All Grand Canyon rafting trips begin and end in Las Vegas, NV or Marble Canyon, AZ. Family Travel Tips: The 6-day oar-powered trip is hike-out; the 8-day paddle trip is hike-in from the South Rim. Both hikes are strenuous.
