We used Tracks n Trails this past summer to take a trip through the Colorado Rockies. The mountains are good for the soul. We had a good time, but we hit a snafu at the RV pickup, and the way Tracks and Trails handled it left a lot to be desired. When we picked up the RV there was a billing error that indicated our RV wasn\'t paid for by Tracks & Trails, even though we had prepaid. We picked up on a Saturday morning and their office was closed, so there was no way to get ahold of them. The only way the RV company would release the RV was if we paid for it again. It was straightened out during our trip but Tracks and Trails took no responsibility for the problem and fought us all the way when we asked for some sort of recompensation for our trouble. Don\'t bother calling the owner, he won\'t listen to you. You have to prepay the vacation, and they told us they take at 15-20% commission on the trip; ours was about $4800, including their commission, the RV rental, sheets/blankets/pillows, kitchen kit, & all the campgrounds. What they don\'t tell you is they also get a HUGE discount on the RV rental but don\'t pass the savings to their customers. In our case, the difference between what they charged us for the RV rental and what they paid for the RV rental was over $1,300, on top of their commission of over $800. Had the problem at pickup not occured, we never would have known. If we had it to do over again, we\'d spend a few hours on Google making our own iternerary and reservations, and rent directly from the RV company. At any rate we would never use Tracks and Trails again, ba<x>sed on how they handled themselves in resolving this problem.
