Gardiner, Montana based Flying Pig Adventure Company is a rafting outfitter at heart. But that doesn't mean their wildlife safaris and horseback rides aren't worthwhile. Flying Pig has teemed up with top Yellowstone specialists to create a winning combination of rafting trips, horseback rides and wildlife viewing excursions. Sample one or try all three. Children must be at least 7 years of age to horseback ride. While there is no hard and fast minimum age on rafting trips the minimum weight is 50 lbs (23 kg). Of note, not all trips take place in Yellowstone National Park. Rafting is done on the Yellowstone River outside the park. Horseback rides take place in the Gallatin National Forest. Wildlife safaris are in Yellowstone's Lamar Valley.

Yellowstone Association, a non-profit organization, offers learning adventures in America's first National Park. The association's 3 and 4-day lodge and learning programs, the equivalent of summer camp, are guided by experienced naturalists and include a wide range of activities such as hiking, wildlife watching, painting and photography. Children 8 years of age and up are welcome on all family programs. Kids must be at least 12 years of age to participate in all other lodge and learning programs. One-day wildlife safaris (no minimum age) can be booked through Gardiner, MT based Flying Pig Adventure Company. Yellowstone Association also offers private one-day tours.
