You won't find a finer trail ride than Canyon Trail Rides. In the business for over 20 years, Pete and Keela Mangum run a tight organization. They size up each rider before assigning a mule. The guides are excellent. The wranglers truly enjoy their jobs. Family Travel Tips: Canyon Trail Rides offers three trips on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, a 1-hour ride along the rim and two half-day trips down North Kaibab Trail. One ½ day trip descends to Uncle Jim's Point; the other descends to Supai Tunnel. All North Rim trips are mule rides. Rides depart from the North Kaibab Trailhead. The minimum age for the 1-hour ride is 7; the maximum weight is 200 lbs (91 kg). Riders must be at least 10 years of age to participate on ½-day trips and weigh no more than 220 lbs (100 kg). All riders must speak enough English to understand instructions. Half-day rides descend below the rim and are not for folks with a fear of heights. Canyon Trail Rides also offers horseback and mule rides in Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park.
