Black's, a Navajo-owned outfitter, has been offering guided tours in Monument Valley for over 10 years. The 1.5-hour jeep tour follows the of-trodden Valley Drive whereas longer trips (2.5 hour, half-day and full day) explore less frequented restricted areas. Horseback trail rides are charged by the hour and depart from either Roy Black's stables, outside the park, or Rain God Mesa, inside Monument Valley. Overnight tours include a Hogan stay. Family Travel Tips: Children are welcome on all jeep tours. Children must be at least 8 years of age to horseback ride. As with many Monument Valley tours, the experience is hit or miss.
